Khmer Karaoke-
OK, I really like this song. I would like to give high praise to the song writer/producer Vai Som Ang of SSB Production. The lyrics are very good and meaningful. As for the technique in the video and the acting make me addicted to this song even more.
I’m wondering if Vai Som Ang copied the music from the Thai or he wrote the music himself. I’m not so sure, although the music sounds like Thai’s. Perhaps Vai Som Ang could be a talented song writer or he just talented in stealing and copying from others.

I am more than sure that the melody is Thai. As for the lyric, I am not sure. But I won't be surprised if it was a translated version. Fai Sam Ang has always been a copycat director and writer.
day after day i always heard somebody talked about the copied or re-writer of songs! oh my god, what is khmer...
:( អាសូរ ហ្វៃ សំអាង ណាស់ គាត់គួរតែ ខិតខំ សរសេរបទភ្លេងដោយ ខ្លួនឯង he is talented.I know he can do itជាជាង ចាំតែលួច យកមកពីគេ៕
Yes, what is Khmer anymore? We have to be original and creative. That's why I still love the old songs of the pre-1975 SinSisamut ones.
Let's hope Fai Som Ang next works will be original by himself -- not copying/stealing from the Siamese.

I wonder how you get the visitors counter on your blog. Could you tell me how to create it?
Thanks
Meas Mab
Mab :
You could easily add visitor counter to you blog. It's a Java script code. Just copy the code and paste to your setting. Here how:
You can Google for "free web counter". There are many of them. The one I use was from
www.freestatscounter.com
1)follow its site and pick the style counter you want.
2)Get the Java code it generated.
3)Copy the Java code and paste to your blog site.
====
At your Blogspot there are folders: POSTING, SETTING, TEMPLATE, VIEWBLOG
1)Choose TEMPLATE
2)Add a Page Element
3)Choose HTML/JAVAScript
(Add to Blog)
4)Configure HTML/JavaScript
Title: Visitor Counter (I left it blank)
Content: (Java counter code)
5)Save Changes.
YOu can move that counter box to anywhere on your page setting. Done. That is all. Email me you have any more questions. Good luck

I agree. We are learning things from others all of the time. We can apply from what we learned and be creative. I would like to see us Khmer start writing our own music.
I heard Sapoun MiDaDa writes his own music. I like that.

I dont see any problem with trying to imitate from Thai song as long as it's not a totally copying.
I still remember some of sin sisamouth song also has the same melody as english song such as Seal with the kiss etc.
for someone who create their own song, you may wanna check Pou Kliang out.
